Christopher Derrick Hoiska and Emily
Jean Scott were united in marriage on May 17. The Rev. Ernie Babel
officiated at the outdoor ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Marsha Scott of Stafford County and the late
Michael Scott. Emily is also the granddaughter of Clinton "Snooky" and Jean Lee.
Emily was escorted and given away in marriage by her brother, Jacob Scott.
The matron of honor was Melissa McCartney.
The groom is the son of Derrick and Susan Hoiska, also of Stafford. Best
man was Derrick Hoiska, father of the groom. Ushers were Jason Howdershelt,
Tom Majewski and Joey Violette.
Mrs. Hoiska received a bachelor's degree in psychology from George Mason
University and is pursuing a career in occupational therapy. Mr. Hoiska
received a degree in drafting and design technology from ITT Technical
Institute.
The ceremony and reception were held at the home of the groom's parents in
Stafford. The couple enjoyed a 10-day honeymoon in the Hawaiian Islands.
This announcement is dedicated to the loving memory of Mike Scott, father
of the bride, who passed away on Sept. 21, 2002. May your love of life and
